MOISSON MONTRÉAL EXCEEDS THE OBJECTIVE OF ITS CAMPAIGN HUNGRY FOR VACATION!
Montreal, August 22, 2019 – Moisson Montréal is proud to announce that the Hungry for Vacation campaign raised $80,200 in donations in one month.
“The funds raised have helped Moisson Montréal to maintain, throughout the summer, the distribution of food to our partner organizations. These organizations feed thousands of children on the Island of Montreal. During this season, many families no longer benefit from school food assistance or other programs that suspend their activities until the Fall” said François Jolicoeur, Director of Business Development at Moisson Montréal.
Each donation of $1 enables Moisson Montréal to distribute over $15 worth of food to community organizations serving families in need. 35.8% of the beneficiaries of our agencies’ food pantry programs are children.

About Moisson Montréal
Moisson Montréal is a registered charity founded in 1984 and the biggest food bank in Canada. We give donated food and basic products to community organizations serving individuals and families in need. Our fleet of trucks allows timely pickups from over 300 donors in the food industry. The hub of our operations is an 11 000 square meters facility for receiving, sorting and warehousing, where 15 million kilos of food per year are distributed free-of charge to our food aid network, including 257 community agencies on the Island of Montreal.
