“Again, this year, La Ronde and Moisson Montréal have reunited to battle the food insecurity that continues to affect thousands of Montreal families. Over this two-day food drive, we hope that everyone will come out in large numbers to help us restock our warehouse shelves, which empty quickly during the summer season. If each visitor brings six food items, thousands of people will get food aid. We would like to sincerely thank La Ronde for their precious commitment year after year,” said Dany Michaud, Executive Director of Moisson Montréal.

So it’s going to be a green Christmas at La Ronde this July 23-24! Lovers of the holiday season will delight in meeting Santa Claus, who will be making a detour to Montreal during his well-deserved summer vacation!

A simple gesture that will significantly impact thousands of Montrealers

Hunger is a chronic issue that more people need to be aware of. Every day, organizations affiliated with Moisson Montréal respond to the growing needs of thousands of Montrealers. In fact, Moisson Montréal distributes almost 13 million kilos of foodstuffs and other essential products every year. During the summer season, when certain aid programs are suspended, the need for food aid is still urgent, making this Christmas-themed food drive a necessity.

During the 2014 edition, the generosity of Montrealers resulted in the collection of 3 tons of foodstuffs, which enabled the organization to distribute 255 bags of groceries.
