Montreal, February 4, 2016 – Moisson Montréal’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Richard D. Daneau as the new Executive Director of the organization. Mr. Daneau will take office on February 8th and will therefore replace Mr. Dany Michaud, currently CEO of Recyc-Québec, who left office in October 2015. Mr. Daneau, who was most recently Executive Vice-President of RPM Tech Inc, combines nearly 25 years of experience in operations management and administration in the field of transport, technologies and industrial equipment.
The chairman of Moisson Montréal’s Board of Directors, Richard Blain, MBA, CRHA said that “the professional experience of Mr. Daneau, especially in regards to operations and planning, will allow Moisson Montréal to continue its growth and increase its impact in the community. As a seasoned executive he will allow the existing management team to develop and to find new sustainable solutions to fight hunger and food waste, as well as to affirm Moisson Montreal’s role in the social economy”.
The Board is very proud to welcome Mr. Daneau as the new Executive Director and to benefit from his trusted experience and expertise. “Beyond the pursuit of projects and activities underway, we hope to gain even more collaboration with Moisson Montréal’s 250 accredited organizations, its generous donors, many partners as well as its dedicated employees and volunteers”, said Mr. Blain.
In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Daneau served on various boards including the Association Québécoise des distributeurs d’équipements (AQDE), the Centre Patronal en Santé et Sécurité du Travail du Québec (CPSST) and the Pôle d’excellence québécois en transport terrestre.
Mr. Daneau holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and initiated an MBA at HEC.
