This report, written by Olivier de Schutter and presented at the 16th session of the UN’s Human Rights Council, puts the emphasis on the importance of agriculture in a context of alimentation right and suggests methods to reinvest into agriculture. Based on an analysis of the last five years, this text suggests that agroecology is an efficient method of agricultural development with numerous advantages.
