On March 20^th, it was announced that about 10 local Provigo^® and Loblaws^® banner stores will put into place a program with the goal to increase their donations to Moisson Montréal. This new program, inspired from Loblaw’s Extra Helping^TM Food Drive program in association with Food Banks Canada, will allow Montreal’s largest food bank to benefit from donations of fresh produce, on top of the usual non-perishable goods donations made by these stores. Partnerships of this kind have been created between Loblaws banner stores and local food banks in various Canadian cities. We welcome this new program with great enthusiasm since it will allow us to better our support to the citizens in need of emergency food aid. We will keep you updated about the program’s impact!
